Speech Language Pathologist
Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing function.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide speech and language therapy, voice therapy, and swallowing rehabilitation across inpatient, outpatient, or home care settings.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other members of the rehab team.
- Educate patients and families on communication techniques and strategies for daily living.
- Document evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
- Proper aftercare should be observed after treatment of every patient. All equipment used should be returned to their proper places. Failure to perform aftercare procedures will be dealt with accordingly.
Qualifications
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- With or without work experience.
- Empathy, patience, and adaptability in diverse clinical situations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
